Legislative News Affecting Eldorado

The SID Board, after determining annexation by the city was negatively affected by specific issues in Eldorado, authorized the attorney to prepare legislation allowing a limited to function after annexation by the city.  This Limited Purpose SID (LPSID) would continue to possess taxing authority in Eldorado, specifically, for care and maintenance of private non-dedicated streets and care of the 54 acres of common grounds.  (The legislation would not affect Farmington Woods or Stonehenge.)  The full explanation and history of this legislation can be found in minutes of the February 16, 2005 Board meeting.

Minutes of SID Meeting June 22, 2005 published

The minutes of this SID Board meeting just arrived in the mail and may be accessed by clicking on the button above and left.  It is very clear some members of the board do not approve of this web site and consider it more a threat than a vehicle for residents to participate and discuss SID issues.  Board members were more than reluctant to make their email addresses public, for direct communication by area residents.  With the proliferation of email access one would think this might make their tasks in communicating with residents much easier, and many may actually prefer that method over a mailed newsletter.  What do you think?
