The one truly remarkable thing about the Internet is the interactivity it allows, especially for the building of community.  The one common concern I heard from the Trustees at the last SID meeting was the lack of participation by area residents in board meetings.  That, coupled with a request from another resident, led me to add forums to the site.

For those of you unfamiliar with Internet forums they are also commonly referred to as web forums, message boards, discussion boards, discussion groups, or simply, forums.  An Internet forum is a web application which provides for discussion, often in conjunction with online communities. Older forums date back to around 1996, following the newsgroups and bulletin board systems which were widespread in the 1980s and 1990s. Popular discussion topics include technology, computer games, and politics, but forums are available for any number of different topics.  It is very easy to participate so don't be shy!

I have added forum topics to the list and will add more if there is interest in doing so.  In the meantime all you need to participate is your PC and registering for the forums.   I will encourage SID Trustees to visit the forums from time to time to see what concerns area residents have and what they are saying.  If you have questions about the forums or want them expanded please email or call me.  I can be reached at 510-7972.
